MILITARY AWARDS
- Only awards presented during military service are authorized.
- No other organizations awards or ribbons allowed.
GENERAL UNIFORM
- For use at events such as gatherings and festivals.
(A) SUMMER
- Branch service shirt or Khaki shirt in a military or police cut with epaulettes.
- SAMS organizational patch on left shoulder (1 inch below top of seam).
- Utah State patch on the right shoulder (1 inch below top of seam).
- Golden yellow grosgrain 1.5″ ribbon circlet on each epaulette fastened with the SAMS insignia pin.
- Headgear; Glengarry or Balmoral with clan, military or SAMS cap badge.
- White cockade (Hackle) shall be worn on headwear.
- Shoes shall be shined and in good repair. Shoes should be either plain leather, military low quarters or ghillie brogues.
- Kilt hose shall be black worn with white highland spats and red flashes.
- Tartan kilt, Trews or Irish saffron kilt allowed, no canvas utility kilts.
- Sporran be either day in black or brown leather, semiformal or formal, Black or brown leather belt with silver buckle. All leather items must match in color.
(B) WINTER
With the before mentioned uniform with the following in addition;
- Black woolly pulley (no shoulder patches) worn over uniform shirt.
- Ike jacket allowed in replacement of black sweater. Patches attached to the jacket.
COLOR GUARD
(A) SUMMER
- Khaki shirt in a military or police cut with epaulettes.
- SAMS organizational patch on left shoulder (1 inch below top of seam).
- Utah State patch on the right shoulder (1 inch below top of seam).
- Golden yellow shoulder cord worn on the left shoulder.
- Golden yellow grosgrain 1.5″ ribbon circlet on each epaulette fastened with the SAMS insignia pin.
- Plain black Glengarry (without dicing) with clan, military or SAMS cap badge.
- White cockade (Hackle) shall be worn on headwear.

- Tartan kilt or Irish saffron kilt allowed, no canvas utility kilts.

- Honor guard standard is to create a professional and uniformed appearance.
- Kilt – Tartan kilt or Irish saffron kilt allowed, no canvas utility kilts.
